I know there are a number of options for the GPResult.exe command. Which options should I worry about using?

If you are troubleshooting Server 2003 or XP machines, you can simply use the GPResult.exe command by itself. If you are logged on a computer as a different user to troubleshoot their logon, you can type gpresult /v in most cases which is called verbose mode. For Server 2008 and later and Windows 7 and later machines, you need to type gpresult /r as the command by itself is no longer functional in those operating systems. Jeremy covers the usage of this command in Chapter 7 of his book. (Third edition, with the gear cover.)
