How is this course different than our other courses?

If you've ever taken our two-day (Intensive Essentials) or three-day (Less Intensive Essentials) course, this is the next class you should take.

This is the "Two-day Group Policy 2.0 Catch-Up" class to take your existing Group Policy knowledge and update it quickly to understand the new Group Policy Preference Extensions, the GPMC 2.0, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.

This course assumes in-depth Group Policy knowledge, like what you would get from the Two-Day or Three-Day Group Policy Fundamentals course for XP. So be sure you have this before signing up.

WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO BRING

While not strictly required, this class is enhanced if the attendees each have their own machine bring their own laptop to class. This is so we can perform real-world workshop experiments to solidify the concepts learned during the lecture and demonstrations. Each attendee should come to class with a laptop with at least the following specifications:

• Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Vista pre-loaded
• User has local administrative logon rights to the laptop
• Pentium III at 500 Mhz (Pentium 4 at 1Ghz or Pentium Centrino at 1Ghz Recommended)
• 2GB REQUIRED (this is different than other classes. Be sure you have 2GB or more of memory !)
• 4GB Desired for this class, as that way you can run two Vista virtual machines side by side. This is the best way to take this course, though it can be done just fine with 2GB of memory.
• 30GB free hard drive space (yes, 30GB)
