Testimonials

“ Absolutely, your class has been full of great takeaways that will truly benefit our organization immediately.
Our organization has been utilizing Group Policy for approximately three years now and it's always been a mystery as to whether or not we are truly getting the most out of this powerful toolset. Jeremy's courses offer very clear and concise instruction with a completely hands on approach. After hearing Jeremy speak, I immediately identified that the policies in our organization are far too bloated. We've always assumed that the fewer policies applied to our workstations the better, however, when problems arise it can be very difficult to troubleshoot one policy with many settings in both user and computer configurations.
Our organization also has several kiosk‐type workstations that our field technicians dread dealing with because they are locked out of everything. Now I have the knowledge to specifically deny our field technicians from having the policy(s) apply to them so they can work quickly, efficiently, and with less frustration. That's a big win for all!
I'm also confident in saying that I know what the loopback policy is doing! This has been an enigma since we move to Active Directory. Most explanations about how the loopback policy works are so elusive and convoluted I wasn't sure what to believe anymore. Jeremy was able to sum it up in 10 minutes in terms that I could understand.
Thanks for your high energy, teamwork, and for providing a positive learning environment! ”

Matt Welling, Office of the Attorney General

“ Jeremy, I just wanted to say thanks again for the information presented in your training this week. I was able to learn a number of tips & tricks concerning GP that will be applicable in our environment. We have two departments that can surely use their own OU and be managed with GP. I've been wanting to do this for awhile and now that I've been pointed in the right direction, I can finally make it happen. You're awesome, dude. ”

Jeffrey Ballard, Oregon Department of Transportation

“ After hearing Jeremy speak today about Roaming Profiles and Folder Redirection, I was immediately able to see how I can save my company time and resources with PC deployments and redeployments. After working with Jeremy’s labs for the GPPEs [from the Group Policy 2.0 class] I can see many realworld applications that I can put into production immediately. ”

Group Policy Training - Live and Online

Why do I need
Group Policy Training?

Most companies spend a fortune in planning and migrating to Active Directory. Then once they have Active Directory in place, the next logical question is "What do we do with it?"

Group Policy is what you do with Active Directory - you control and manage your clients and servers with the nearly limitless power it offers.

We have several classes to choose from including public, private, and sponsored classes.

What is meant by "public, private and sponsored" classes?

WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO BRING

While not strictly required, this class is enhanced if the attendees each have their own machine bring their own laptop to class. This is so we can perform real-world workshop experiments to solidify the concepts learned during the lecture and demonstrations. Each attendee should come to class with a laptop with at least the following specifications:

  • Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Vista pre-loaded
  • User has local administrative logon rights to the laptop
  • Pentium III at 500 Mhz (Pentium 4 at 1Ghz or Pentium Centrino at 1Ghz Recommended)
  • 2GB REQUIRED (this is different than other classes. Be sure you have 2GB or more of memory !)
  • 4GB Desired for this class, as that way you can run two Vista virtual machines side by side. This is the best way to take this course, though it can be done just fine with 2GB of memory.
  • 30GB free hard drive space (yes, 30GB)
