GP Preferences Hotfixes and Updates. Some here, now .. some coming soon.
Just a quick note to let you know that there is a hotfix rollup of some key GP Preferences bug fixes.

The hotfix downloadables are available for (today) XP, 2003 and Vista machines
It should be noted that, yes, these are hotfixes. But, good news -- you DON'T need to call Microsoft PSS to GET them. There's a "web way" to get them. But, my opinion would be to only GET THEM IF YOU NEED THEM and not widely roll them out unless absolutely necessary.
Why?
Because:
1. Coming soon, that release will be generally available in Windows update (yay.)
But
2. When it's generally released, the Vista support will be pulled.
Wha?? Yep. The reason why is that Vista is getting a "micro-makeover" and getting some new features added (more on this later) to catch up with Windows 7 functionality.
Then, at THAT time, Vista's GP Preferences update will be generally rolled out ... both fixed with the bugfixes and updated as needed in one shot.
Note: I've also isolated several Windows 7 GP Prefs bugs (if you've been following my on Twitter @jeremymoskowitz you know what I mean.) As far as I know, there are no plans for Windows 7 GP Prefs bugfixes at this time. More news as I have it.
