Even though some of you know about "Filters" in the updated GPMC, there's no way to say "Show me the policy settings that are NEW for Windows 7." It's true. Can't be done. But you can with the updated GP Settings Spreadsheet. Find it here:

MDT Released

Microsoft's free way to get your machines from XP to Windows 7 is now officially out. I've attached the public notice I got the other day at the bottom of this email. I cover the previous version of the MDT in my Blue book (www.GPanswers.com/books).

But, I'm curious. Does anyone USE this tool? The idea is that it will help you capture what's on your XP machine, smoke the machine, and put Windows 7 on it.

Neat, but, past iterations have been complex to deploy. So, are you using it?
