There's been some rumblings lately about the GP Preferences.
There's apparently some "mystery" about which products contain and don't contain the GP Preferences client. Honestly, there's really no mystery. Let's just take a minute to spell it out and be super clear:
-Windows 2000: Not available.
-Windows XP: Not included.
-Windows Vista: Not included.
-Windows Server 2008 and R2: Included
-Windows 7: Included
and...
-Windows XP -- any service pack. NOT INCLUDED.
-Windows Vista -- any service pack. NOT INCLUDED.
That is all. So, if you're thinking.. "Hm.. I just installed Vista / SP2, and don't know why the GP Prefs aren't kicking in??" it's because they're not contained in service paks.
