Is there a way to use Group Policy to force all PC home pages to be set to a specific Web site?
If youre talking about the Internet Explorer home page, then sure! Thats User Configuration | Windows Settings | Internet Explorer Maintenance | URLs | Home Page URL.
While youre there, check out Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Internet Explorer | Disable changing home page settings. This ensures that users cannot change it once youve set it.
If youd like to do this in Firefox or Chrome, youll need PolicyPak (www.PolicyPak.com) to do it.
The GPanswers.com forum is closed now (thanks, spammers!)
But we encourage you to join us at LinkedIn in the “GPO Stuff” group.
Jeremy is regular there, and there is a reasonable system to prevent junk posts.
In all, we think it’s the right place to go for Group Policy-specific questions.
It’s a private group, but just JOIN it, and the owner should approve your request.
See you there !
