Hi guys.

I'm new to GPO so excuse any school boy errors.

We have multiple Win2K3 Terminal servers that are using GPO's with clients connecting via RDP/ICA. I've got about half way in terms of achieving what i desire but have now hit a hurdle and hope you maybe able to shed some light.

I want to enable Sound for a single RDP user - i.e. port sound to the client. I therefore want it disabled for everybody else. I have done the basics in terms of allowing the RDP protocol to port sound to a Windows client through Terminal Services Configuration - this is normally disabled by default.

The problem i face is that when i enable sound in the TSC, it enables it for all users regardless of how the GPO setting is set i.e. not configured/enabled/disabled.

I have another GPO higher in the link order for this single RDP user and have the sound redirection set to 'enable' and within the master GPO i have it disabled for all other users - if thats makes sense..???

I have mixed and matched various settings but whatever i try i can only enable/disable sound for all users rather than a single user. It seems like the GPO settings are not applying. Even tried editing the machine policy but this too makes no difference.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
