I know that software packages assigned to computers are not advertised on Start menu. And I know the default behavior is that packages assigned to users are advertised on the Start menu. Is there any case where software packages assigned to Users are not advertised? If so, is there a reference for this behavior? Thanks!

Actually, *ALL* Assigned packages go to the Start menu.

Some applications, like, say a Service Pack just has no icons,
so, when it's assigned to a computer there's nothing ON the Start menu..

but otherwise.. all Assigned packages should have something on the start menu. I guess you could configure your MSI package
NOT to have icons there.. but, then, how would anyone find out about it?
