    Hello Guys,

I have an application A ver1 assigned to Computer account through GPO 1 and new version of application is assigned to computer through GPO 2.

Now when computers restart, they don't get new application installed, but it gets installed on machine where older version is not installed.

I raised priority of GPO2, over GPO1 & older version was uninstalled & new was installed.

I need to know is this by design or a bug?

    Any know document from MS

    Thx,
    Alps

    We had a similar issue.

Troubleshooting revealed that you can't upgrade in any app located in a GPO higher in the link order than the new app. (I don't think we found any references though)

We're now working around it by putting upgrades in the same GPOs as the versions to be upgraded.

That is my recomendation as well..

Put upgrades in the SAME GPO...

Seems to work 100% of the time for me.

Curious to know what others do....
