    Hi Everyone,

this is more of a hands on experiance statement than a question:

Well while reading Jeremy's book i read alot about custom made ADM files that you could use to push home made registry tweaks to clients. The downside to this was that you tatood the registry with you setting and the only way you could cancel the setting was to specifically set the oppostie value.

I did not realy like the concept of tatooing my clients registries so i thought i decided to start pushing registry tweaks using MSI packages i created with the Free Ondemand tool and up untill now it's all working perfectly. I found the benifit of doing this was dubbel:

    1) Easier to make an MSI deploy for registry only settings than manually create an ADM file.
    2) It seems when remove the MSI or the user/computer object fall's out of it's scope the settings are completely undone removing the ADM tatoo downside.

I'll be playing with this more in the next couple of days but i wanted to share this with you.

    cheerz

    That is an interesting option..

However, might I suggest another avenue...

The guys at AutoProf has PolicyMaker Professional,
which is a pay product which provides 13 additional
    CSEs to play with.

However, in that product, they GIVE AWAY the ability
to use their REGISTRY CSE... and, you can, essentially,
have non-tattooing registry entries using their product.

Sure, if you want MORE functionality, you can pay for it,
but, it's very very cool that they give the registry CSE away for free.

It great and works as advertised.
