does it stop the DFS service?
I've been having problems manging some workstations that are locked down. For instantance the user is not allowed to add or remove printers but when the printer driver becomes fouled up I have to add and remove within that users profile.
To do it (as far as I know) I have to remove the user object from the OU that is applying the GPO (or block inherritance or disable GPOs which is not a very secure method) then reboot. This is a royale-with-cheese pain in the arse. I have to go to the server or some other management station or perform the AD wizardy from a command prompt.
Welp, I found this nice little utility which turns off the effects of the GPOs. It's called Killpol.exe and can easily be found on the net with a Google search. The little applet has a small GUI asking for administrator name, password and domain with a couple of buttons to remove GPOs and another to apply. schweet!!
This appy is saving me bucko time in the field!
