    Smile Blocking Excel for Certain Group of users

    Hi All,

    I am new to this forum , and i had a query regarding ADM we have 15 users shares 6 PC's and i need to provide access for excel to some users and some users had to be denied on a particular machine, i had tried with software restriction policy and added additional rule specifing path of excel with global parameters (%programfiles%\microsoft....\excel.exe) and it worked but it is effecting other user's who are sitting on the same machine.. please provide me some solution to this,

    The first thing that comes to mind would be to only allow access to the Excel files/folders via NTFS permissions. You can set them easily via GPO under Security Settings.

    Default Software Restriction Policies

    Are available for both USER and COMPUTER. I suspect you set this up PER COMPUTER, when, instead, you can use the USER side and affect just the USERs.
