I have a simple registry change which I have made on PC's manually and now want to implement to all users. This however is my first such custom adm template and I wanted to get the groups opinion if I'm doing it correctly. Essentially the policy should write a registry change called DisablePasswordCache with a value of 1 in the registry key location noted below to turn off the ability for users to store username/passwords on web pages they visit through IE. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have not yet tested the template and wanted to ensure I was on the correct path.

    CLASS USER

    CATEGORY Internet Explorer Password Cache
Policy "Disable password caching in Internet Explorer"

    KEYNAME "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings"
    VALUENAME "DisablePasswordCaching"
    VALUEON NUMERIC 1
    VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0

    END POLICY
    END CATEGORY

It's good that you're creating a custom ADM, but did you look to disable password caching in the GPO: User Configuration->Windows Settings->Internet Explorer Maintenance->Advanced

In order to see the Advanced folder you need to set Internet Explorer Maintenance to "preference mode". Do that by highlighting Internet Explorer Maintenance, then click Action->preference mode. I made a GPO this way that deletes a users temp internet files everytime they close the browser.

You may find what you need in there.
