Hi Folks,
I've searched for several hours now already to find a complete list of all gpo based settings for IE8 Beta 2 or RC, similar to the excellent xls sheets available e.g. for Vista SP1.
I'm looking for a complete overview of ALL settings incl. their corresponding registry values.
I've already written a small vba macro which extracts the settings names and pathes from the inetres.adm file(s) already, but that is not sufficient for me (and my customer).
Even better and also needed quite urgently is a differential listing of the deltas between IE6 and IN8 (which NEW settings were ADDED), if possible in an excel sheet :-)
Hope somebody of you can help me with that topic!
BTW.: I've asked the AD /DS Team at Microsoft already for that, but they only said:
Have you examined this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc985351.aspx
We don't have anything in Excel yet, simply because IE8 is not done yet.
what I knew already and what is not enough :-(
I'm working with GPOs in enterprise environments for YEARS :-))
Thx in Advance Rainer from Computacenter, Germany

I'd like to get my hands on the updated ADM for Internet Explorer 8, but can't seem to find it. The links (above) are no longer valid. An email we received from Jeremy a few days ago mentioned that we got an updated INETRES.ADM template when we load IE8 on Windows XP, but, I've searched my computer and find no such updated file. Anyone know where we can obtain the updated ADM?
I would like to know too...IEAK is toooooooooo complicated and unhelpful for us.
I have also seen the comment that IE8 creates or installs an inetres.* file, but the *.admx files on my Vista x64 box has the wrong date for it to be for IE8.
I also need to know how to convert such an inetres.admx file to an *.adm file that can be used within Win2k3 SP2 x32.
Thank you, Tom
