I suspect this means you have some ADM templat efiles missing. Where are you running GPMC? on a DC or on another server / workstation?
I currently have a problem within the Group Policy editor. The administrative template node is missing. is there a way to fix this problem???[/b]

Hi, I'm not sure if this belongs in its own thread.
I have a similer problem on a Windows Server 2003 PDC.
I cannot get the the System node under Administrative Templates to show in the Group Policy Object Editor.
It does show up in GPEDIT.MSC if I run this from the server's RUN command. So I know it is picking up the windows\inf\system.adm file.
I did run the following command "regsvr32 gptext.dll" according to Microsoft Document "Group Policy Quick Fixes" but it made no difference.
Howdy,
Everyone on my team is running Windows 7 64bit OS with SP1 and IE8, and everyone except for 1 person is missing the Internet Explorer Node inside a GPO in the GPMC at this location:
Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer
I have tried re-registering .DLL's per Florian's Blog post here with no change: Florian’s Blog » Missing nodes in Group Policy Editor
We have our ADMX templates setup in the central store in SYSVOL, and I am thinking that if it were an issue with a template file missing or corrupt, then this problem would show up for all of us.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ed
We figured it out, and so here is the answer if anyone is looking for a solution for this:
Not every DC had the inetres.admx template file. For an unknown reason, after an update of this template file, it did not replicate to the other DC's. It was only working for 1 member of our team because their GPMC was connecting to the only server that had the file.
