Default Changing DNS server ip Settings

We are trying to change the DNS server settings 1st and 2nd IPs. Found Settings Comp>policies>Adm tmplates>Network/DNS client > DNS servers. Set the 2 ips, seperated by a space, enabled the GPO. placed it at the top of the domain. All went well. Did a gpo /force, rebooted, did a gpresults, showed it was applied.. yet when i do a ipconfig/all on the PC, old DNS settinsg still present. Am i missing something. Also how does it know what NIC to apply it to ? Hoping this works so we dont have to touch 100+ PC's. Thanks Jim

Firstly, I'd recommend NOT doing it through GPO, but through DHCP. Why? Well, those DNS records are needed to locate a DC, get them wrong and you don't find a DC which means you don't get group policy and you're in a whole new world of pain.

if you're still thinking of doing it this way, check what NSLOOKUP gives you; From memory I think ipconfig displays it incorrectly.
