    Default GPO Logon Delays

    Hi Everyone,

We are running a Windows 2008 doamin, users use a single mandatory profile with GPO to restrict the desktop.

I have the logon time down to about 15 seconds, but I have a 4 second delay after "Applying Your Personal Settings", the desktop is blank and then after 4 seconds the icons will be displayed.

Looking at the userenv log, I see the delay is beween the following two lines:

    USERENV(c3c.c40) 09:09:33:376 LibMain: Process Name: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe
    USERENV(b24.b38) 09:09:38:424 LibMain: Process Name: C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE

I have looked on the net and only found issues relating to Citrix which is are not running. Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    Default Not sure .. but..

Possibly this is where XP checks WMI filters? Again, not totally sure.
