    Default REG_BINARY value processing incorrectly

    I'm attempting to implement a reg change via policy from a Win7 GPMC console to WinXP machines that have the group policy preference extensions (KB943729) installed. The change as entered into the policy is:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layout
    REG_BINARY = Scancode Map
    The value that's entered into the policy differs from what shows up on the workstation, trying to figure out why that is.
    Policy value = 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,00,00,5b,e0,00 ,00,5c,e0,00,00,00,00
    Machine value = 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,30,00,00,00 ,00,00,00,00,05,b0,e0,00,00,00,05,c0,e0,00,00,00,0 0,00,00

    I appreciate any responses.

    Default To troubleshoot this..

    You should see if you an duplicate this on Win7 as well.

    In other words.. do you get the same value or different values on Win7 vs. XP as targets.. ?

    Also. .can you try this in a test domain, and see if you continue to have the same problem?
