We are implmenting standardized Office templates for all 24 department in my organization. I have all templates on a network share with sub folders for each department. I have also created OU's in AD to represent the folders so I could link the GPO's for each department there. I have created a test GPO to link the templates share for one department to Office programs (ex Word). The GPO works when I link it at the domain level or if i put the user(s) it will affect in that OU. But if i create a security group in the OU and place the necessary users in the group, the GPO does not run. What am i missing? Also if there is a better way to accomplish this please let me know.
