GPO Question.

Hi, I have been asked by some one a Question about GPOs

Senario : There are 70 servers in OU. A GPO has to be applied to only 20 Servers of that OU with out creating a CHild OU? How can be done?

Can anyone plz expain this in both Windows 2003 and Windows 2008?

For the GPO that will only apply to the 20 or so servers, create a new group that contains only those servers. Then in the new GPO, change the Security Filtering by removeing "Authenticated Users" and then add the newly created group containg the servers you want this policy to apply too in the Security Filtering area.

This works for both 2003 and 2008. Hope this helps.
