    Default Help Loop back processing

    Hi,

Can any one assist please. We have a domain and in our servers OU we have linked the loopbackprocessing set to replace.

The issue is that when users login they are unable to change the desktop background unable to browse or use the scroll bar. I have ran a report and it states that only loopback processing policy applies.

We create the computer account before the server is added to the domain so ensuring it is in the correct ou.

When a user logs into another pc that is not in the ou theyget the user policies apply which one of them is to set the desktop wallpaper and we deploy this via a script.

I am worried that there maybe other underlying issues applying the the servers which we do not want.

    thanks in advance

    Karen

    Default

I have done some more digging and I get the greyed out display when I RDP to the servers. It's a registy key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Remote\2]
    "Active Desktop"="Force Blank"
If I delete this key I can change the desktop as soon as I log off and back on the key is replaced.
If I go to the server and log on direct I can change the desktop. Is this setting a policy that is enforced by default when using RDP?
