Default Unable to change IE proxy settings....

I have one domain user and login through windows XP laptop with having GP inherited by default domain policy.

I somehow want domain user to do some changes into registry or i have local admin crdentials too. But still i'm not able to change the IE settings like changing proxy settings.

Its shows "some settings are managed by your systems administrator" after doing lot of troubleshooting with changing registry or local gpedit.msc.

Is there a way to block the default domain policy inherting to my laptop, if it possible i hope not a single policy will be applied.

If possible let me know the trick to have defaul domain GP applied but cracking few options as of now just to enable the proxy setting of IE.

If not understood about the scenario let me know. Thanks in advance.

Note: i just have the domain user a/c with no other group membership or local administrator a/c credential.

hey there sparky... let me get this right... you dont have administrative credentials for the laptop or the domain? your sys admin uses a proxy to prevent you from downloading your favorite hannah montana music... so you came to a place for sys admins to see if someone could tell you how to piss off your sys admin? does that about sum this up?

well, youre in luck... im here to help... the answer is quite simple...

    contact your system administrator
