Sysinternals, now Microsoft, PSLoggedOn. Very handy. If your looking by username it will poll all domain computers. Not an issue with a small network, but can become time consuming in a large environment. Another possible freebie is MS LimitLogin.
All I want to do is to have the ability to select a user in my domain and find out if they are currently logged on and from what computer they have logged on from.
Is there any software that does this? I am not sure if I can do it from dsquery/dsget

I have been using Hyena and am very impressed with it, I can select a batch of computers, right click and 'view logged on users' but it only works by selecting the computers, therefore I would need to know the computer names to discover what users are logged on.
I just tried psloggedon and it is what i am after, however it is a bit slow, we have over 1000 computers here and it tries to open the registry on each workstation to see who is logged on,
