Also, the remote assistance is not greyed out like the file and print sharing and remote desktop. In case that helps..
Hello,
We are just now getting into setting group policies. I have a couple of test XP computers that I am using to test windows firewall policies on.
I have set the windows firewall to be on, have set remote desktop to off, have set file and print sharing on, and have set remote assistant to on for our localsubnet (so that the inventorying program Spiceworks can get information).
My problem is that when I force gpupdate to update the windows firewall defaults to on, the file and print sharing states on with a Yes in the group policy column, the remote desktop is off with a Yes in the group policy column, but the remote assistance is set to on with a No in the group policy column.
I'm not sure if the remote assistance is being handled by the group policy or not since it says No in the group policy column. You can't see the scope of IP addresses allowed when you click on Edit for the remote assistance, so I can't tell if only the ip addresses or localsubnet that I selected are allowed, or not.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!
