I searched for this one in the previous posts, but couldn't find a match:

Is there a way to allow users to save shortcuts to files on their desktop, but prohibit them from saving anything other than shortcuts (i.e., actual files)?

We find, with our roaming profile setups, that despite all of our efforts at education -- telling users to store documents only in their own home directory shares, never anywhere on the local PC -- that users being users, they still put stuff on the local PC. And they put the files on their desktops, thereby increasing the size of their roaming profiles dramatically, and making them take forever to load and save, not to mention increasing the chances for corruption at some point.

It would be great to lock this down so that only shortcuts can be saved to the desktop.

Thanks.
