    Default lock the UAC Slider

    Mighty all!

I'm looking for a way to prevent domain users from changing UAC settings in Win7. Is there a way to either "lock (gray-out) the UAC slider" or "hide the "change user account control settings" control panel item".

    Many thanks in advance!

Have a look under Computer Configuration > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. At the bottom are the UAC settings. If you set "Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users" for example it will grey the slider. I would recommend reviewing all the UAC settings, especially "Switch to the secure desktop when prompting for elevation" as this can affect the behaviour when UAC kicks in over a remote assistance session (best to enable it if you want helpdesk/support to use UAC this way)
