using a gp to copy 3 files from an app server to the client machines

Hello-

I have one vendor that regularly updates his software and when he does this right now I have to manually run around and manually copy the three file (2 .exe's and 1 .rav) from the server location to the client machines. Is there a way to automate this in a group policy? looking to save some time and stop running around once a month when the update is done. Thanks.

If you are running Win7, you might look at GP Preferences Files Extension under Computer Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings Files.

You don't need to be running windows 7 - just have the right schema on the DC and the Client side extensions for XP.

You could also just use a simple log in script to do it.
