Default Apps, additional users, rights and Win7

OK, this may not be the correct place for this thread, if not please delete or move.

We are finally in a hardware update cycle and obviously any new computers I pick up are going to be Windows 7 and probably 64bit. I've been exclusively on XP Pro SP3 for a while now and had that pretty well figured out. Here is the situation:

    - All computers are joined to our AD domain
    - All users are AD users on that domain
    - All users are part of an AD security group that has Power User and Network Configuration Operators rights on the local computer

On any of the XP computers, when a user logs onto it (domain) for the first time they are able to open any of the apps, like Office or AutoCAD and it will go through a brief setup and then allow the user to work in the app.

On the Windows 7 computer that I am using to get this all sorted out, when a user logs onto that computer for the first time and tries to launch any Office app or AutoCAD they are prompted for Admin credentials. This isn't acceptable because nobody in the office has admin rights except, well, the systems admin (me). What did I miss in setup?

    Thanks In advance.

So, the solution to this appears to be not much of a solution at all. The main program I was having problems with was AutoCAD. I had configured the installer to place icons on the desktop, and when a standard user would 'first run' the program from the desktop icon they would be prompted for creds with elevated privileges. HOWEVER, if the standard user launch the program from the start menu they would not be prompted and the first run would complete successfully.
