I'm very new to Group Policies, in fact, brand new. So please bear with me. I'm willing to do some research, but need to know what I'm looking for..

I'd like to restrict access to a specific server from specific workstations on a group/user basis.

Here's my situation: My users are using a thin client that is configured to connect to a specific server on the network. Once the user logs into the server (Windows Server 2003), the thin client manager is configured so that the user executes a single program, and only this program. Per a software mfg's compatibility requirements, the users need to be part of the "Power User" group. I want to restrict these users to only be able to log in to the server from a single workstation so that they are further locked down from using their "Power User" account to gain additional access.

Thank you much for your help.

To clarify, the problem would occur if the "Power User" is able to log into the server using Remote Desktop rather than using the Thin Client from which they are intended to use. I want to prevent them from using any other workstation other than the Thin Client.

    Wink

Open the user account in active directory and under the Account tab click on "Log On To..."

Put the computers that this user account can user can log on to...

    Hope this helps!
