We are pushing a default domain policy that forces users to have a screen saver. We would like to specify certain machines (ie ones used for briefings and slide shows) to not have any screen saver. I cannot find a way to do this by machine rather than user. If I disable per user, then when that user goes back to their original workstation, they don't have a screen saver there either. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

If you put the machines in an OU, you can make a new loopback policy, that you can reverse the settings with. The loopback will read the user settings, and apply it to the machine.

I wanted to do the the same thing, and this is how I solved the probem. All my PC's were in one OU so I just enable loopback in merge mode for the policy attached to that OU. I set the screensaver timeout policy to disabled and left the others at "not configured". This allows the computers in that OU to change the value of the timeouts to but not disable it compleely. Works great but drove me crazy for months until I learned this in a MS GP web seminar.
