You can always disable rightclicking![]()
I need to prevent a user from right clicking on a file/folder/icon and viewing properties. My client is a high school and it seems that students are able to go to Properties and then click Find Target and browse to anywhere on the C: drive. We want to disable this of course if possible. I just can’t seem to find it though.
I already have the following enabled:
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Explorer/Hide these specific drives in My Computer
User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Explorer/Remove Windows Explorer’s default context menu
I cannot see the C: drive if I go to My Computer and the default context menu is not displayed. However, if I right click on any icon on the desktop, other than My Documents (since that’s locked down the way I need other icons to be), go to properties and click on “Find Targetâ€ÂÂ, I have full access to the C: drive.
Anyone have any other thoughts? This is proving ugly, as the high school kids have now found this out and are passing it along.
