Hi, We've recently redesigned our AD using the Microsoft Common Scenarios scripts as a baseline. We have a setting which we can't seem to track down. When a user tries to save a document from the web, it throws an error:
This operation has been cacelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.

Is there a way to relax this setting a bit.. it's a bit hardcore preventing users from even downloading a Word doc!

    cheers
    Baronne

    Look in Administrative Templates|Windows Components|Internet Explorer|Internet Control Panel|Security Page

In each zone, there is a setting for 'Allow file downloads'

Depending on what zone the website users are trying to download from and what scenario you started with, this could be a good place to start.

    Hope that helps

    IE settings:

Is there a way in local group policy to restrict users from downloading files with the .mp3 extension?
