Offline files not available

I've redirected My Docs and the Desktop and that seems to work fine however I can't make either of them available offline. I get an error at logon indicating the Desktop path is unavailable and a siimilar error when I try to access My Docs.

GPO is set to sync on logon & logoff
I've tried all the options under caching for the offline folders

I see lots of compaints about people not being able to trun off offline files but I want the oposite! At least for now until I see how long it takes to sync each time

Figured it out, I had to enable Allow or Disallow Use of the Offline Files in the computer policy. I kept reading that redirected folders were automatically enabled for offline use but I guess only if you make them so
