I am working for a customer (school), and we have two GPOs (not the only ones) that one does drive mappings, and the other folder redirection. They have the folder redirection using the drive letters from the drive mappings. Although I do not see a problem, some complain that the folder redirection did not work.

How can I make sure that the drive mappings always apply before folder redirection. Both GPOs are linked at the OU level.

Also the Link order does not always seem to guarantee that it will apply in the correct way watching the policies get applied through verbose mode.

Jeremy says that I should link the drive mappings at a higher location in AD so it get's processed first. Does anybody have a similar situation and what have you done to mitigate the problem?
