Hi!
I sucessfully configured redirected folders to a remote drive on my server.
All is OK and user can access documents, pictures and music files offline because of the default offline folders funcionality.
However the video folder gives access to more than 50GB of data that I dont want to force users to sync and carry the files arround whereever they log on, you can understand why.... and I do want the folder to be redirected to the server so they all share the same video database when on-site!
There is a setting "Prohibit 'Make Available Offline' for these files and folders" that allows me to disable offline folders for a particular folder on my network. I configured it and it works OK! the problem is that the setting in only supported on windows XP Professional!!!
What I need is to make sure, is that users with Windows Vista or - more important - Windows 7 (the vast majority) don't get this folder available for offline synching as well!!
Can you tell me what happened to this policy setting for Vista and Windows 7 and what you suggest to work arround this problem? Thanks!!!
