Did you (or anyone) ever figure out how to do this? I know there are 3rd party apps out there to 'disappear' items out of the notification area, but I'm reluctant to deploy those if I can find a built in method for this.
Hi all.
I have noticed that GPO doesn’t really cater that heavily for ISA FWC (Firewall client) apart from deploying it to remote machines. I have created a policy (using security filtering) that will allow certain users to run the firewall client from within a terminal server session - This ensures that i don't have all users opening firewall sessions to the proxy unnecessarily.
I want to hide just the FWC notification icon in the windows taskbar but without hiding everything else. For example, my users receive notification from the task bar when either they reach there profile storage limit or they receive new email (outlook), hence i want to leave the notification area enabled.
Can anybody advise how i can hide the FWC icon only. The other reason is that if its hidden, users cannot tamper with the settings which at present is easily possible.
Many Thanks.
