Default WSUS Patch Deployment

I have a WSUS server that is having problems deploying patches. The server sees the PCs, and what patches they need. Unfortunately the server is unable to push out patches to the PC unless I do a force make it force to check the server. Can some please help? In Group Policies I configured automatic updates with option 4, every day at 20:00.

Thank you.

Hi Dalek

The server doesn't push the patches, all actions are initiated by the client PC. It's a good start that they show up on WSUS, it shows that the PC has checked which patches are required then posted the results back.

Check the client PC's System Event Log for any Windows Update Agent messages. You should see messages about which patches are downloaded etc.

If there are any errors, let us know.

PS you'd probably get a better response from a WSUS forum
