I have just deployed 500 new machines running Win2000 on a Win2000 domain and everything works great except 1 problem. The roaming profiles seem to load just fine but Internet Explorer favorites wont save to the roaming profile. A user can add favorites and they save to the local profile but when they log off and the favorites are sent to the roaming profile on the nas and log back on the favoirites are gone from IE and the roaming profile. I also notice that the favorites folder in the users roaming profile on the nas has at this point lost its security tab so there are no permissions but only on the favorites folder. Im only having this problem only for users on the new client machines and these machines run the same OS and most of the same apps as the old machines. I thought we had this fixed by implementing a default group policy at the computer level below the primary group policy in ADUC as after all the machines were rebooted this policy applied and IE favorites were saving again but today that stopped. What I really don't understand is that we set nothing in the lower level default group policy we just applied a default and I can find nothing in our domain group policy that would effect IE favorites. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
