firefighter33,
Can you give a more detailed description of the problem you are running into?
1) Summary of what you expect to happen.
2) Summary of what is actually happening.
3) Information about the configuration/versions/policy settings.
Thanks
I have a Windows NT 4.0 and UpGraded to Win2K Server, Group Policy will not send out the changes although when I look in the event viewer it says group policy sucessfull. (IE) Removing the IE Icon from the Desktop and removing the Run Command will propegate out to the machines I have a mix of Win2K machines and WinXP machines. What can I look for to make this work

1 WHat I expect is the Desktop ICon to be hidden and the run Command to be hidden and or disabled.
2. I set the group policy to hide the desktop ICON and I set group policy to hide the RUN command and when I apply the policy nothing happens the Desktop ICON is still there and the Run command is still active.
3. I am running windows 2000 upgraded from WinNT4 with service pack 4 installed I have to domain controllers and it seems some times it does'nt replicate between them.
This is probably a better question for the processing forum section, rather than roaming profiles. Unless for some strange reason a profile problem is found to be the culprit.
From the windows 2000 machine perform the following:
gpresult /v > c:\gpresult.txt
if gpresult does not work, you can download it here.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/existing/gpresult-o.asp
Post the contents of the gpresult into your forum post. Identify which policy listed has the settings to hide the icon and the run dialog.
Thank you, I will try that, I appriciate the help.
