When you designate the background, is this a file that is only available locally on the working computer? Then when you log onto a new computer.. although the roaming profile loads, maybe the wallapaper file is not accessible.
just a thought.
We having problem with background in roaming profile.
I cam choose one (regardless windows standart or custom).
When I log off and logon on different computer my desktop icons would be loaded, but not background. I opened screen property and I can see it's remember what had been choosen, but never loaded.
Thank you, Bigll

I have had problems with this recently. You must use a .bmp image for the wallpaper. Windows server 2000/2003 will only accept a .bmp file.
Do you have any Group Policy settings related to this? I have group that uses a JPG for their background, I had to turn on Active Desktop through policy.

We had the same issue here at out site and I have written a small script that runs as a logoff script and it allows users to have a JPG wallpaper as a roaming profile. You can find it here --> http://www.mattwaddell.com/index.php...aming-profile/
