Alright I hope this isn't confusing. I'm fairly new to GP's so I'll try to explain best I can.

    Setup:
    Windows 2003 R2 server
    XP SP2 clients

    Problem
We have 5 labs (I work at a school) which are used by many clients. I have created a OU and linked GPO for all staff so that when they log off the copy of their roaming profile is deleted. This works great. Now we've introduced a new laptop to every staff. I do not want the local profile deleted when a user logs into the laptop. However since the GPO says delete it deletes.

I would like to create a policy that will apply to a computer name (the laptop name) first then to the account name.

    Sort of like:

IF laptop "a" logs in apply this policy. If not then apply policy based on account name.

    Does that make sense?

I created two separate OU's and linked two separate GPO's. One for the computer account and one for the user account but I can not figure out how to set it up so the computer account GPO will take precedence over the user account GPO

    help!

Sounds like you want the profiles to stay only on the laptops and the user GPO is what removes this. If I read correctly.

If the setting is in the USER GPO is conflicting then remove this out of the GPO's for all user GPOs to a computer GPO.

You can still specify user settings in a computer GPO.

Thus PC GPOs get to delete the profile and LAPTOP ones stay put.

    This should work.
