If you create a GPO that makes the settings in the opposite way?
It's not located in the local GPO on the machine?
Have you checked all logs and used gpresults etc. checking that nothing should affect this?
used RSOP?
Hey All,
First, this is my first posting here. I got tired of looking for answers in the M$ world. I am a part of Technet and I get lost there too
Anyway, I am having a really weird issue that I can not figure out.
I have a group policy, duh!
In this group policy, it is somehow removing the IE 7 address bar. I turned off every user policy that is in the policy and still it is there.
I managed to open the Registry.pol with polviewer.exe and saw that there are two entries in there that are doing it.
Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\restrictions NoNavbar =1
Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\restrictions NoCommandBar =1
How in the world did these get in there, how do I change them? There isn't anything in the Group Policy that got them in there.
This looks like a reg hack that I have seen many people post for removing the address bar.
And no, I am not launching IE in Kiosk mode.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would love to create a GPO that makes the settings the opposite way. Which settingsThat is the issue. I can not figure out which settings they are.
Nope, not in the local GPO as these would be brand new computers.
The rsop shows nothing in that, which setting is it. RSOP, when I have all of the things turned on or off show nothing being changed.

Hey there,
"Enforce full screen Mode" I did not configure this as it was "Not Configured" so I don't know what this is all about. I enabled it, saved it, disabled it, and it went back to "not configured". Either way, this label is really crazy. I thought it would be to make the screen 'full screen' wouldn't you? NOPE!
It does all sorts of things. Read the explaination.
