Anyone? lol.
I work in a large corporate environment, I have my MCSE 2003 and I am very intuitive when it comes to roaming/mand profiles in WINXP. We have purchased 200 copies of Windows Ultimate for our company and will be deploying mandatory profiles and roaming profiles for our users.
Some of these users will be using both XP and Vista so the interoperbility has to be there. I am alittle overwelmed at the challanged as I guess I am alittle rusty as to know where to start first.
I nead to outline a basic plan of attack, any suggestions where to start? My timeline for this is pretty limited and our users are pretty excited about the upgrade.
Any tips, suggestions, buttkicks would be appreciated as well as any links of walk-throughs etc.
Regards,
Cass

First, let me welcome you to GPanswers.com. Glad you decided to post your question, although couldn't you have tossed up an easy one to answer????
The short answer is that specifically using JUST a roaming profile to move between Windows XP computers and Windows Vista computers isn't going to work. You'll need to set up folder redirection for things like My Documents because they can't be shared between the two types of roaming profiles.
The longer answer is a two part answer. First, I have read an excellent book which describes the subject in detail in Chapters 9 and 10. Which book??? It's Jeremy's new book that just came out, and you can read all about the book here:
http://www.gpanswers.com/book/
Secondly, Microsoft has also released a white paper on the subject, which can be downloaded here:

Hopefully that helps!!
