Hi,
This is my first post and I have read the book (version 3) and paid attention to Chapter 6 on Software Restriction. However, I didn't find what I was looking for - so here goes.
We set up XP SP2 laptops with a host of applications including MS Office, NAV and some other industry specialized programs. We want the users to be able to use these programs and surf the Internet (we provide a cell phone card so they don't have to set up internet connectivity), but don't want them to be able to do anything else like install software (no itunes, mozzilla, etc).
We can set the user rights to 'restricted user' and keep the user limited. However, some of our industry specific software and NAV - require administrative rights to operate correctly. So - is there someway to set these programs to run as the 'adminstrator' when the user is logged in as a restricted user?
Thanks - and I hope this isn't a really dumb question that has been answered 100 times that I just didn't find the answer to.
Ron
