i have everyones "My Documents" Fold redirected to a remote server...nothing grand
    \\server\documents\$user_id
But the problem is that when they select menu options such as:
File -> Open OR File -> Save As --They can move back in the path and gain acces to others' files. I should have checked that little box in the folder redirection properties that sets permissions for each folder specific to the user, but i didnt, and even though i did do it now, it isnt working (i suppose because the folders have already been created). I also downloaded the MS Office ADM files in hope of those helping. But they dont. I dont know the menu_ID's which disable certain UI features (such as File -> Open) but none of them seems to be working. So does anyone know how to give each user their own folder for documents with exclusive rights?

simply change the permissions for the folders already in existence and grant only the user full access, though it might be an idea to allow admin's control too.

You might want to look at the ABE tool from Microsoft. I'm not sure how your permissions are set, but it could provide what you are looking for.

Here's a link to some documentation on it:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/abe.mspx

Of course, you need to be running the share on a Windows 2003 server.....

    Hope that helps,

    Eric
