Are you sharing this printer from a server (\\server\hpprinter) or are you trying to configure it as a local printer that prints directly to the IP of the printer?
We are trying to deploy an HP printer using Group Policy Preferences to a security group with computers as members. The printer will not deploy but we were seeing a message in Event Viewer stating the print preprocessor was not correct. I could install the printer using Add/Remove Printers. It would print just fine. I then tried to deploy the printer to users with the same GPP after changing to the user node. That worked correctly. It is a TCP/IP printer. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brent

The printer is shared on our print server but I am trying to deploy as a TCPIP printer to a computer. That is the option that best suits these users.
Thanks
