I have 2 XP machines that use IE through a proxy. These machines are not on AD but are using samba and connecting only to a Solaris server. My goal is to set or hardcoat the proxy username/password within the GPO Editor... or somewhere else so the users will not need to type it in at the beginning of every browser session. Within User Configuration/Windows Settings/Internet Explorer Maintenance/Connection/Connection Settings i have "Imported the current connection settings from this machine".... This has set the proxy address for all users, but i have not found a spot where it would set the username and password in there.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
