    Greetings:

I've recently been reading Jeremy's book on 2003 Group Policy.

I've downloaded the gpmc.mci file from nicrosoft and tried to install it on several XP machines (SP2) as well as a couple of 2003 servers. No luck!

I ALWAYS get the following error:

"An error occured during the installation of assembly
    'Microsoft.MSXML2,processorArchitecture="x86",publ icKeyToken="6bd6
    b9abf345378f",version="4.20.9818.0",type="win32"'. Please refer to
Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x80070002."

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

That is quite a message. All I can point to off of the top of my head is the dependecies. You should have them all in place but you can try to remove and reinstall the .net framework sp1. There is also an associated hotfix. Curious, what kind of system are you running on? It is not an x64 is it? or another chipset?

I wish I could be more help but I don't know that message. I will look a bit and see what I find.

Are you trying to install the GPMC onto a 64Bit version of the windows?

"# The GPMC does not run on 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows."

If not then I have no idea sorry.
