    Post How to apply GPO to only few servers in an OU without creating a Child OU?

    Post GPO Question.

    Hi, I have been asked by some one a Question about GPOs

    Senario : There are 70 servers in OU. A GPO has to be applied to only 20 Servers of that OU with out creating a CHild OU? How can be done?

    Can anyone plz expain this in both Windows 2003 and Windows 2008?

    In your GPO, remove "Authenticated Users" from the Security Filtering. Add each server name to the security filtering that you want to receive the policies and then link the GPO to your OU. Since you've got so many, you could create a group and put each server in the group. That way, you'll only need to add the server to the group to get the GPO.
